Less than 48 hours to the Ondo State governorship election, former Minister of Defence, Prince Adetokunbo Kayode, has charged the Ondo citizens to vote massively for the candidate of the All Progressive Congress (APC), Lucky Aiyedatiwa in the election.
Kayode said the people of the State have a lot to gain if the APC retains the governorship seat for Aiyedatiwa to ensure continuity and completion of projects started by late governor Rotimi Akeredolu and also to initiate new developmental projects.
He said they would witness more development if the APC could win the governorship election saying this could only be made possible by massive mobilisation of support for the party’s candidate.
Kayode who described Aiyedatiwa as a highly resourceful political leader and strategist, said the APC candidate possesses the experience, exposure and capacity to lead the state successfully.
According to him, it will be a disservice to the citizens of the state to vote for a party that is not controlling the government at the national level.
“The last time Ondo State had two substantive Ministers was during the government of President Olusegun Obasanjo, and it has been made possible by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, who appointed two substantive Ministers from the state.
“It will be a sign of ingratitude if voters in Ondo State leave a government in control of federal government for an opposition party.”
Kayode said the people of the state must remain with APC so that more developmental projects from the national level will come to the citizens and for the people to get the dividends of democracy.
