Ogun Reps aspirant, Bello, extends consultation to Ikenne LG 

…promises to sustain initiatives commenced by predecessors 

In continuation of his aspiration to contest bye-election into the vacant Ikenne/ Sagamu/ Remo North Federal Constituency seat in the House of Representatives, Hon. Arole Azeez Bello, has extended his consultation on Tuesday by engaging leaders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and community leaders in Ikenne local government area of Ogun State. 

A delegation of Bello and his supporters was warmly received by representatives from Ikenne, Iperu, Ogere, and Ilisan communities.

During the meeting, the elders gave Bello valuable advice that would help his aspiration as well as offering heartfelt prayers.

They commended his steadfast commitment to upholding his reputable name and encouraged him to maintain his integrity, emphasizing that such virtues yield benefits both politically and personally. 

Acknowledging his deep-rooted experience in constituency politics, they expressed their best wishes for his aspirations.

Bello took the opportunity to outline his vision and commitments for the constituency, emphasizing: “Continuity of Legacy Projects: A pledge to sustain and complete initiatives commenced by predecessors, ensuring that ongoing projects reach fruition for the benefit of the community.”

Other programmes on his sleeves are “Inclusive Representation: A dedication to representing all communities within the constituency equitably, ensuring that voices from Ikenne, Iperu, Ogere, Ilisan, and beyond are heard and considered in legislative processes. 

“Grassroots Engagement. A commitment to regular interactions with constituents to understand their needs and collaboratively develop solutions that address local challenges effectively.”

Hon Muri Awolaja, a member of Hon. Bello’s delegation in a vote of thanks, expressed profound gratitude to the elders for their warm hospitality, insightful counsel, and unwavering support. 

Hon. Arole Azeez Bello is seeking proper nomination to contest and fill the position left vacant by the death of late Hon. Adewumi Onanuga who died on Wednesday, January 15, 2025. 

She was Deputy Chief Whip of the House of Representatives until her death.
