Media Executive Johnson Ofugha has commended filmmakers and contents creators for their consistency in building themselves.
According to Johnson, “with the level of global attention on Nigeria, our filmmakers and content creators by extension, are doing awesomely well with their works. Their spirit of consistency matches the creative energy in them, which is worthy of applause”.
The Chief Consultant of Jaysblog Media implored filmmakers, skits makers and other persons in the field of digital contents to utilise resources effectively.
In his words, “it is imperative that we look into resources management carefully. By this, I mean contents creators should look inwards and see our local stories as major resources. We as a nation is blessed with beautiful cultures and histories. Contextually, it will enable cultural propagation, if contents creators tap into it diligently. We have more than enough stories to go round.”
In responding to the positioning of Nollywood and Nigerian skits industry in global space, Johnson reiterated that Nigerian filmmakers are doing so well evidently.
“The past three years, we have produced more blockbusters for the big screens. What is more interesting is the impressive investments in epic contents.”
He stated further that, “filmmakers like Femi Adebayo, Kunle AFOLAYAN, Funke Akindele, Mo Abudu and Kemi Adetiba are championing the goal so well, which serves as encouragement to coming generation of filmmakers. Notably, skits makers in Nigeria are not left out too.”
