Former President, Chief Olusegun Obasanjo, has sued for peace and unity among prominent traditional rulers in Egbaland for the progress and development of all sections.
He said this in his remarks at the interdenominational service held in honour of the Osile of Oke Ona Egba, Oba Dr Adedapo Adewale Tejuoso, held at Osile’s Palace, Abeokuta, on Monday.
Obasanjo, who is the Balogun of Owu Kingdom, lauded Oba Tejuoso for his tenacity of purpose in transforming not only his domain in particular but Egbaland in general.
He noted that the last 35 years of the monarch on the throne has been a remarkable one worthy of celebration.
The former president recalled his effort in reconciling traditional rulers in Egbaland while commending Oba Tejuoso for towing a path of peace.

He said, “35 years on the throne of your forebears is not a joke. You are cardinal change maker in Egbaland. You are a man of peace. I pray to God to grant you many more years on the throne witnessed by more development and progress.
The occasion witnessed the conferment of chieftaincy titles on well-deserving sons and daughters of Oke Ona Egba.
Prayers were offered by Christians, Muslims and traditional worshippers for the monarch, Oke Ona community and Egbaland in general.
