The Director-General of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC), made this call while addressing Corps Members deployed to Oyo State together with their counterparts dislodged from Kwara State for the 2018 Batch “B” Stream Two service year, that are currently undergoing orientation exercise at the NYSC permanent orientation camp, Iseyin.
The DG urged its corps members not to embark on unathorised journey, to desist from unlawful parties and to stay away from hard drugs.
He also charged them to respect their respective host communities by abiding with their law and culture in order to have a smooth and peaceful service year.

He also admonished them to leave good legacies in their host communities by providing projects that would curb the sufferings of the residents.
He added that corps members shouldn’t collect anything from politicians and that they should avoid being induced to commit electoral malpractices during the forthcoming 2019 general election they would participate in.
In her own speech, the Oyo State NYSC coordinator disclosed that the state registered a total number of 2,375 corps members comprising of 1,235 males and 1,140 females, making 680 for Kwara and 1,695 for Oyo.
She also appealed to the Director-General for assistance on more hostels provision in the camp.
