The Senate on Monday queried the unprofitable relationship between the state-owned Nigerian Television Authority (NTA) and the Chinese PayTv Startimes calling for a review of its terms of engagement.
The Senate position was predicated upon revelations that after 11 years of partnership between the NTA and Startimes the relationship has not recorded any profit but losses.

The Senate wonder how this could be possible in spite of huge funding to the tune of N10bn on the NTA by the FG.
Co-Chairman, Senate Committee on Finance and National Planning, Senator, Solomon Adeola and Senator Ayo Akinyelure expressed their displeasure over the report by the Director-General of the NTA, Mallam Mohammed Ibn Yakubu who said the relationship between them was not productive.
