NSCDC seals five private guards companies in Zamfara

The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Zamfara State Command have sealed five private guard companies (PGC) that have not renewed their licences in the state, saying agencies and organisations should patronise only registered, up-to-date PGC for optimum services.

Zamfara State NSCDC Commandant Sani Mustapha has today embarked on routine monitoring and supervision of the private guard companies in Zamfara State.

According to him, the enabling Acts of the Corps 2003, as amended in 2007, have mandated the Corps to supervise, monitor, train, retrain, and register all private guards in the state.

Commandant Sani Mustapha opined that any company operating without a renewed licence is considered illegal.

He therefore advised the operators of private Guard companies to make haste and renew their licences as the Corps is set to commence routine monitoring every night.

He further enjoined agencies and organisations to patronise only registered and up-to-date PGC for optimum services.

Commandant Sani Mustafa assured that in the weeks to come, the Corps will organise a retraining programme for all private guard companies in the state.
