The FCT Commandant of Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Mr Olusola Odumosu, has lauded the Commandant General (CG), Dr Ahmed Abubakar Audi, for this lofty achievement which has greatly impacted on the morale of personnel nationwide.

He spoke amidst the excitement of the Corps over the recently released promotion exercise where an unprecedented number of personnel got elevated to new ranks.

The Command’s Public Relations Officer,  Comfort Okomanyi, in a statement, noted that Odumosu charged promoted officers to see it as an excellent opportunity to re-commit and re-dedicate yourself to the service of the nation.

“To whom much is given, much is expected, therefore, now that you have been motivated, I charge you to see it as an excellent opportunity to re-commit and re-dedicate yourself to the service of the nation.

“You must be core professionals, no mistakes are allowed in our Standard Operating Procedure, hence no excuses for indiscipline, recklessness or any behaviour unbecoming of personnel will be condoned,” Odumosu said.

He appreciated the Commandant General, Dr Ahmed Abubakar Audi, for his visionary leadership and approach towards ensuring the growth of the Corps and promoting the welfare of personnel.

He also thanked the Honourable Minister of Interior, Dr Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, for his excellent transformation of the Ministry of Interior since his assumption of office and for graciously approving the elevation of Officers and men of the Corps from one rank to another.

Commandant Odumosu assured the Minister and CG that the officers and men of the FCT Command would justify the promotion by putting in their best towards fulfilling the mandate of the Corps.

“It is imperative to be good ambassadors of the Corps as well as ensure civility in the discharge of our duties at all times,” he admonished.

Odumosu appealed to Nigerians to continue to collaborate and support the Corps by relating closely, giving credible and timely information/ intelligence tip-off to security agencies to nip crime in the bud across the country.

He further assured residents of a peaceful and crime free yuletide season, adding that the Command in collaboration with sister agencies will leave no stone unturned in ensuring peace and order is maintained.
