Bauchi State Government-owned Sa’adu Zungur University (SAZU) has declared that it will no longer compromise on academic excellence and standards no matter the situation.
The declaration was made in a bold statement by the Vice Chancellor of the University, Professor Fatimah Tahir while speaking during the opening of a workshop for the Academic Staff on Writing Grant-Winning Concept Notes and Proposals organized by Centre of Excellence for Research and Innovation in collaboration with Sa’adu Zungur University (SAZU).
Fatima Tahir emphasized that the Institution will not settle for being perceived as “easy” but instead, will strive for excellence in all aspects of its operations.
She said, “We don’t want students subscribing to our University because we are easy, we want students to subscribe to our university because we are excellent.”
She added that, “And one of the ways that we can show the world that we are excellent is by the excellent research work that comes out of our university.”
