Nigerian-born artist wins Canada’s R&B award

Nigerian-born, Canada-based singer and songwriter Ayodeji Mubarak popularly known as TheHonestGuy has made history by winning a coveted award at the Juno Awards, Canada’s most prestigious music honors.

Mubarak won the Traditional R&B/Soul Recording of the Year category at the 54th Annual Juno Awards, which took place on Sunday, March 30, 2025, at Rogers Arena in Vancouver, British Columbia.

Known for his soulful sound and musical excellence, TheHonestGuy’s recognition in the R&B category further cements his place as one of the most promising voices in contemporary music.
