On Nigerian Army and use of three major languages

The recent directive by the Nigerian Army that its officers and men should learn and use the three major Nigerian languages, namely Hausa, Igbo and Yoruba, is commendable.

The idea will enhance professional competence, cultural promotion and unity in diversity within the army. As language is an element of culture, it will be easy for the army officers to serve comfortably in any part of the country.

My advice is that the Nigeria Police command should follow suit for the good of the police force in Nigeria.
