Governor Tanko Al-makura of Nasarawa State and Senator Abdulahi Adamu, have emerged winners of the southern and Western Senatorial districts of the state
Al-makura, who is contesting under the platform of APC, polled 53,571 votes ahead of his opponent Suleiman Adokwe of the PDP with 35,269 votes.
Hassan Imman, the Returning Officer announced the result at Abacha Youth Centre, Lafia on Monday in presence of party agents, security operatives and observers.
Meanwhile, PDP agent Baba Ayiwulu Baba refused to sign the result, accusing the Returning Officer of taking side.

Similarly, Abdulahi Adamu of the All Progressive Congress (APC) has been declared the winner of Nasarawa West senatorial district with a total vote of 115,298.
Prof. Ahmed Yakubu Ashuku, of Federal University, Lafia made the declaration at Keffi Local Government Area of the state.
The Returning officer said: “Sen. Abdulahi of APC scored 115,298 votes, Alhaji Bala Ahmed Aliyu of PDP scored 85,615 votes and Dr. K’tso Nghargbu of APGA scored 28,857 votes”.
Also, Hon. Jonathan Gaza of People’s Democratic Party (PDP) scored 92,282 votes to defeat Jacob Okari Owa of All Progressives Congress (APC), with 59,661 to represent Keffi/Kokona/Karu federal constituency.
Meanwhile, President Mohammadu Buhari of APC scored 289,903 to edged the PDP candidate, Atiku Abubakar who got also 283,847.
