Niger: Gov Bago felicitates with NVMA on 2025 World Veterinary Day

Governor Mohammed Umaru Bago congratulates the Nigerian Veterinary Medical Association (NVMA), Niger State Chapter, on the celebration of the 2025 World Veterinary Day on 26 April.

In a congratulatory message issued by his Chief Press Secretary, Bologi Ibrahim, the Governor acknowledged the significant role of the Association in advancing animal health, agriculture, and the welfare of its members.

He noted that the NVMA Niger State Chapter is being repositioned under Dr Mohammed Santuraki as its Grand Patron, making invaluable contributions to the present administration, particularly in prioritising the development of the livestock sub-sector.

The Governor stated that this year’s theme for World Veterinary Day, “Animal Health Takes a Team,” aligns with his administration’s commitment to strategic collaborations and professionalism.

He affirmed his administration’s dedication to supporting veterinary services, improving livestock infrastructure, and promoting a One Health approach in the state.

While wishing all members a successful celebration, the Governor urged them to continue to serve with integrity, compassion, and excellence in the overall interest of the state.
