Governor Seyi Makinde administration in Oyo State has received accolades for infrastructure development in the state such as the fixing of street lights on major roads in Oyo State. He has been doing a lot to put smile on the faces of the good people of the state.
However, his administration should rehabilitate the Eleyele-Ologuneru and Onireke-Alapata-Akobo roads. This can only become a reality if the Oyo State 2024 budget will include the above-mentioned roads.
Rehabilitating our roads is something that will benefit people of the state that are not on government payroll. The above-mentioned roads are very bad.
The said Eleyele-Ologuneru road falls within Ido Local Government Area in Ibadan while Onireke-Alapata-Akobo Road falls within the jurisdiction of Lagelu Local Government Area of Ibadan. These two roads are long due to be rehabilitated. No doubt, if the said two roads are rehabilitated, it will have a direct positive impact on the lives of the residents living in those areas.
I want to plead with the Oyo State governor to include the two above-mentioned roads in the 2024 budget.
