NIGERIAN Bottling Company (NBC) Ltd., has unveiled a Green Area at its Abuja plant located in the Idu Industrial layout to demonstrate commitment to sustainable practices.
The company described the unveiling as a showcase of its unwavering commitment to a greener future and its relentless pursuit of sustainable operations.
Managing Director, Matthieu Seguin described the Green Area as visualising the company’s dedication to minimising its environmental impact, while reinforcing its position as a frontrunner in integrating sustainable practices.
He stated that investing in the space demonstrates the company’s proactive approach to incorporating sustainable practices into its operations, thereby aligning with its goal of achieving net-zero emissions throughout its value chain by 2040, while positively impacting the environment.
“The Green Area symbolises our unwavering commitment to sustainability and underlines our determination to reduce our environmental footprint. We will continue to remain resolute in our dedication to investing in the communities we serve, with the ultimate aim of making Nigeria a better place for all.” he added.
Commending the company for its commitment to environmental sustainability, the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Muhammad Musa Bello, described the company’s Green Area as representing a significant milestone, and a demonstration of its dedication to creating a better future for the nation.
“By prioritising green spaces, NBC sets a commendable example for other organisations to follow,” he added.
