Nasarawa govt sympathises with lawmaker over fire disaster

THE Nasarawa State Government has sympathised with Mr James Dangana, member representing Doma South constituency at the state legislature, over fire incident that destroyed his house.

Mr Silas Agara, the Deputy Governor, who led the government delegation on Thursday to sympathise with the member in Karu, urged him to take the incident as an act of God.

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the lawmaker’s house in Mararaba was completely destroyed by fire on the night of April 14.

The cause of the fire is yet to be ascertained.

Agara said that the entire state was saddened with the unfortunate incident, as that the lawmaker was yet to recover from the death of his wife.

“We are here to sympathise with you over the unfortunate fire incident that destroyed your house.

“We urge you to take and see it as an act of God and we pray God to strengthen you and restore all that you have lost in the last one year.

“We will continue to pray for you and your family and the lord will be your strength,” he said.

Responding, Dangana (APC-Doma South) thanked Agara for the visit and show of concern.

Dangana, who described what happened to him as an act of God, urged the people to pray for him and other leaders in the country.
