My 10 month old baby has a very troublesome nappy rash which has refused to go away despite all my efforts. Kindly advise me on what to do next.
Nappy rashes usually occur due to the prolonged contact between the baby’s skin and waste products such as urine and faeces. Therefore, one of the best ways to avoid this kind of rashes is the frequent change of the baby’s nappy or diaper. In view of the fact that some babies react to some specific types of diapers, you may need to confirm the kind of diaper that is suitable for your baby. It is also helpful to expose the baby’s buttocks whenever it is possible such as when at home. Finally, there are many ‘over the counter’ medications such as creams, powders and lotions that are suitable for nappy rashes.
