There were mixed reactions in Nigeria’s parliament on Wednesday, as President Muhammadu Buhari entered to present the 2019 Federal Government budget to the legislators.
The political divide between the Executive and the Legislative arms of government played itself out as the lawmakers in the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) loyal to President Buhari cheered him as he walked into the chambers, while those belonging to the opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) jeered at the President.
However, President Buhari received a rewarding welcome by lawmakers when he presented the 2019 appropriation bill to the joint session of NASS.
