In commemoration of the Workers’ Day Celebration, a chieftain of the All Progressive Congress (APC), Oyo State Chapter, Akinjide Kazeem Akinola, felicitated Nigerian workers on their resilience to make Nigeria work.
Akinola, while celebrating Nigerian Workers’ Day, in a statement signed by his media assistant, Akintunde Yusuf, appreciated their impactful efforts in making the country a more viable and growing one.
The Abuja-based businessman and Ibadan-born politician, in his statement, further hailed all workers contributing to the growth and development of the Nigerian economy.
In his words, “I want to especially appreciate Nigerian workers generally in both the formal and informal sectors of the economy for their continuous contributions towards the proper functioning of the country.”
“Truthfully, they’re doing great and wonders in all ramifications. If not for them, maybe the country would have been grounded, but their resilience in discharging their duties continues to improve the Nigerian system.” He added.
“While at that, it is important we further charge them, all workers, on the need to work in order to make Nigeria continue to work through dedication, commitment, and hard work.”
“Nigeria is a great country with great people. And workers are part of the great people. At that, they should collectively work with the constituted authorities to sanitise the system and achieve transparency and a corrupt-free society.”
“I believe it is achievable. Let’s jointly work together to make the country work in the best way it should, for the benefit of all Nigerians.” Akinola concluded.
