A member of House of Representatives, representing Ilorin East/Ilorin South federal constituency of Kwara State in the National Assembly, Hon. Abdulganiyu Olododo has tasked government at all levels to embark on strategic policies for Nigerian youths to secure their better future.
Speaking with journalists in Ilorin at the weekend on the sideline of the Nelson Mandela Leadership award conferred on him by the African Youths Parliament, Olododo said that such step would reduce rising cases of youths involved in the kidnapping, banditry, terrorism among others ills in the country.
The lawmaker, who said that the call became necessary because youths are the leaders of tomorrow, charged leaders and politicians to teach youths how to fish rather than giving them fish.

Olododo, a former Secretary to the State Government (SSG) also advised African youths, saying that only lasting solution to youth unemployment is for youths to be self-employed rather than embarking on a search for white-collar jobs.
He, however, used the occasion to commend the African Youths Parliament for the award, assuring them that the honour would go a long way to motivate him to attract more dividends of democracy to his constituency.
Earlier in his remarks, the Speaker of the African Youths Parliament, Hon. Babatunde Bankole said that the award was bestowed on Olododo for his developmental strives over the years.
