King of Boys, hits cinemas nationwide on Friday 26th of October, 2018, and fans have been trooping to watch the Nollywood film. At the star studded premiere, Kemi Adetiba spoke of the efforts put into the movie amidst tears. Speaking, Kemi Adetiba expressed her delight at finally being able to tell such a compelling story. “After the huge success of “The Wedding Party”, I wanted to try my hands on a different style of storytelling, one that would show my versatility as a director and a storyteller. Yes, the process of making the movie might have been tedious, as we shot in over 75 different locations, but we are very proud of what we’ve created, and we can’t wait to share this with the world,” she remarked.
But the hardwork, with the current huge turnout at the cinemas, is definitely worth it. Also, the premiere in Ibadan at the Viva Cinemas in Ibadan, which had the lead actress Sola Sobowale as the guest of the evening, saw fans dressing up as various characters, all in the bid to show their love for the movie which many have been touting as the ‘biggest Nollywood movie in 2018’. Kemi Adetiba’s brand new Nollywood block buster opened in cinemas last weekend and if the remarks online are anything to go by, then King Of Boys may just be the biggest Nollywood movie of the year.
