Barely 48 hours after the founder and President of Solid Rock Kingdom Church (SRKC), John Okoriko, was abducted within the premises of his church, on Tuesday evening, in Mkpat Enin Local Government Area of the state, the kidnappers have reduced their ransom to N30 million from the initial asking price of N100 million.
According to a family source, who spoke to our Correspondent in Uyo on Thursday, “the abductors used the victim’s phone number to communicate with the family so they can raise money.
“This morning, the man of God called us and asked that his abductors are now looking for N30 million. We don’t have such money and we are still begging them,” he added.
However, some stakeholders in the church have requested members to stop all social media postings to help security agencies in intelligence gathering on the abduction of the cleric.
