Kebbi journalists celebrate Muslim Ummah on Eid-el-Fitr.

The Kebbi State Council of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) has felicitated with the State Government and the Muslim community in the state on the occasion of the Eid-el-Fitr celebration.

The council, in a press statement signed by the State Chairman, Bello Sarki Abubakar, and Secretary, Ismail Adebayo, rejoiced with the Muslim Ummah in the state on the completion of the 30-day fasting in the Holy Month of Ramadan and the Eid-el-Fitr celebration.

It called for peaceful coexistence and harmony among the people of the state in line with the teachings of Islam and the Holy Prophet, bearing in mind the significance of Ramadan and Eid-el-Fitr. “We urge you to sustain the efforts made by the present administration of Governor Nasir Idris to foster peace and harmony among people in the 21 local government areas of the state.”

The council commended the state government, under the leadership of Governor Nasir Idris, for the food items distributed to both Muslims and non-Muslims during the month of Ramadan. It called on the people of the state to support the government in the various projects it has embarked on for the economic development of the state and its people while wishing them a peaceful Sallah celebration.
