National Coordinator of KCOA, Jude Obi, while briefing stakeholders at an event held in Ibadan, recently, stated that for the purpose of coordinating KCOA activities in different countries, there is the need for the constitution of National Steering Committee.
“The National Steering Committee is the body that takes charge of every activity of KCOA so that decision would be properly taken and most importantly when things like selecting consultants or having to give responsibilty to those that would carry it out, it is the steering committee that would screen those that apply to participate in any of the activities.
“It is the steering committee that would nominate three out of those that applied and the best would be taken. That is the major activity that the steering committee would carry out. It is equally the resposibility of the committee to monitor the project and make sure that it delivering those things the projects are suppose to deliver.
The steering committee is like the watchdog of the sponsors of the project in this country. So what we are doing today is to inaugurate the steering committee and empower them to their work.”
