BARELY 24 hours after he left office, the immediate past governor of Ekiti State, Mr Peter Ayodele Fayose, on Tuesday honoured the invitation of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).
The former governor arrived the anti-corruption commission office at Formella Street, Wuse 2,Abuja, at 12:59pm in company with Rivers State governor, Nyesome Wike, former Aviation Minister, Femi Fani-Kayode, his team of lawyers led by human rights activist, Dr Mike Ozekhome and some officials of his administration in Ekiti State.
He was dressed in Blue T-shirt with the inscription bold written in White, “EFCC I’M HERE”.
The shout of Oshoko rent the air from his supporters, who trooped out in their numbers to EFCC office, as the former governor alighted from the Toyota Land Cruiser he ride with Governor Wike.
Speaking shortly after his arrival, Fayose stated that he was at the commission’s office to fulfill his earlier promise that he would honour the invitation extended to his immediately he left office.
He, however, lamented that his residence was cordoned off by security operatives, saying that Nigerians should learn to give others the benefit of the doubt.
