As part of its efforts to enhance customer satisfaction, the management of Jos Electricity Distribution Plc has announced the introduction of an e-billing system.
The organization, in a statement signed by its Head of Corporate Communications, Dr. Friday Adakole Elijah, disclosed that starting November 1st, 2024, the company will transition from paper bills to e-bills. Customers in Plateau State are expected to receive their monthly energy consumption bills conveniently via SMS.

The statement highlighted some benefits of e-billing, including no more waiting for paper bills, efficient delivery as bills will be sent directly to customers’ mobile phones, enhanced accuracy of digital records for easy tracking, and a reduction in paper waste, among others.
It further added that this innovative solution will ensure timely and secure bill delivery, empowering customers to manage their energy consumption effortlessly.
“This will also put an end to the incessant allegations from some of our customers denying the delivery of their monthly energy consumption bills by our marketers.”
The management of the company thanked customers for their patience and understanding and urged them to embrace this new innovation for the common good, as customer satisfaction remains the company’s primary focus.
