Sokoto state Governor, Rt. Hon. Aminu Waziri Tambuwal has appealed to the main opposition party in the state, All Progressive Congress (APC), and its candidate in the last gubernatorial contest in the state, Alhaji Ahmed Aliyu Sokoto to join hands with him in the development of the state.
Tambuwal made this known while addressing journalists at the Government House on Friday to celebrate the appeal court rulings affirming his election earlier in the day.
The Governor disclosed that his victory at the polls, as well as the courts, is a victory not only to him but to the people of the state.

He said, ” I thank the people of the state for their prayer and support. I, once again, dedicate this victory to the God almighty and urged our supporters in the state to continue to pray for peace, progress and prosperity of the state.
“We need each and every one of us to be on the same page as a family. Everyone in the state is one family. Let us come together and work for the progress of the state.
“I appeal to my brothers and sisters in the other political parties, especially in the APC to join us in the building process of the state.
“It is only God almighty that gives power and nobody else and has decided whom to give.
“I called on anybody that wants to join us today, that such people are welcome on board.
“We assure such people that they will be included in the governance process of the state” he added.
