The Oniyeni of Irawo in Oyo State, Oba Abdul-Rasaq Oyewole Ogunleke, has commended the state governor, Seyi Makinde for the achievements he has recorded since he became the governor of the state.
Oba Ogunleke, in a statement he personally signed, praised Governor Makinde for his quest to restore the glory of the state by ensuring that infrastructural development cuts across the state particularly Oke-Ogun zone.
Speaking on the achievements of the governor, the monarch said there is no successive governors who had performed like Makinde, especially in the area of road infrastructure which include the dualisation of Saki town, construction of Ibadan-Iseyin/Iseyin-Oyo/Iseyin-Ogbomosho roads among otbers.
Ogunleke further said that relocation of the Faculty of Agriculture of the Ladoke Akintola University of Technology (LAUTECH), Ogbomosho to Iseyin; establishment of OYSADA headquarters in Saki; light-up project in all the local government headquarters across the state and the prompt payment of workers’ salaries and other welfare packages are not left out.
The community head equally commended Chief Michael Koleosho, for always taking care of the elderly people in Oke-Ogun area by supporting them in all facets of human life, adding that what Koleosho and few others are doing have earned them a special place in the anal of Oke-Ogun history.
While advising residents of the state to always supporting Governor Makinde so as to end well with the good work he has started, Oba Ogunleke also appealed to the governor to consider the royal stool of Oniyeni of Irawo for elevation in his consistent drive to preserving the sacred traditional institution in the state.
