About 1,000 children have benefited from the end of the year party organised by the Ibadan Wives and Mum (IBWNM) in Ibadan, at the weekend.
IBWNM’s initiative is commendable as it fed the children as part of activities to mark end of 2023.
Founder of the non-governmental organisation (NGO), Mrs Opeoluwa Ike, said that the event came into existence as children deserve to be happy and receive gifts during the festive period.
According to her, she said the foundation picked Popoyemoja area of Ibadan because it is peculiar to the children.
In her remarks, the treasurer of the NGO, Mrs Ifeoluwa Ayeni, said the programme is majorly an end of the year party for the underprivileged kids.
“This is our third edition and it is getting better yearly,’’ she said.
