The Oyo Police Command has arrested a 37-year-old man identified as Hammed Oyekola for allegedly murdering his grandparent and uncle in Apete, Ido Local Government Area.
The Police Public Relations Officer, Adewale Osifeso, disclosed to the Nigerian Tribune that an investigation has commenced on the matter.
According to him, “Investigation has commenced into the matter. Updates will be provided accordingly, please.”
The incident, which occurred on Sunday evening, has created tension in the area.

Reliable sources revealed that the suspect beheaded the victims for reasons yet to be ascertained.
Our source added, “The suspect was staying in the same house with the victims at Apete.
“It cannot be confirmed whether they had disagreement prior to the incident but what we gathered was that he attacked the victims with machete.
“He succeeded in severing off their heads for no reason.
We cannot say whether it is for ritual purpose or not but the matter has been referred to the State Police Command.
