Fatoki said the abattoir possessed a mechanized slaughter slab and two conventional slaughter slabs which can each accommodate the slaughtering of 2,000 cows, while the facility can house 300 goats and pigs and has a space for animal burning, processing of intestines and cow heads.

Fatoki added that the state government had directed the deployment of five buses to ply the facility from five designated routes across Ibadan.

This is as he added that the state government would also partner some banks on the provision of meat vans and credit facilities to the butchers.
