I owe my career to Wale Adenuga ― Mayegun

Popular Yoruba actor, Moshood Mayegun has revealed the debt of gratitude he owed Wale Adenuga, Wale Adenuga Productions Television TV owner, as he was the one who helped to launch his acting career

Speaking with R, Mayegun disclosed how his career started and how veteran television and film producer Wale Adenuga offered him his first script in an acting capacity, an act that would be impossible for him to forget.

“I started acting at a very early age. Though back then, it wasn’t as professional as it is now. We lived in a very big house while growing up as a child and my house was a favourite for movie producers and directors back then, for instance, Wale Adenuga gave me my first script, he gave me a platform to showcase my talent”.

“And that was where I got to meet actors like Antar Laniyan, late Moji Olaiya, and many others. Whenever they came around for shootings of their movie project, I always got a role in the movie. That’s how I developed passion for acting,” the actor added.

Speaking on his growing up days, Mayegun who abandoned his sociology degree for acting didn’t find life easy. He learnt to assist the family at a tender age.

“I wasn’t born with a silver spoon. My mother tried her best raising us as I wasn’t the only child. I learnt a vocational skill at an early age in order to assist the house as well as my siblings.

Having produced a number of films which include “Blood Line” and “Black Man”, Mayegun’s career has seen him feature in over 50 movies.
