THE Iba of Kisi in Irepo Local Government Area of Oyo state, Iba Moshood Oyekola Aweda, on Monday told that gubernatorial candidate of the Action Democratic Party (ADP) in Oyo state and former governor of the state, Chief Adebayo Alao-Akala, that he has nothing to say than to thank him for his efforts during his first term as governor and for taking good care of traditional rulers in the state.
Iba Aweda stated this while receiving Alao-Akala and other candidates of ADP from the zone at his palace, adding that his antecedents speak for him and he needs not to stress himself as they already know his worth.
“I have nothing to say than to thank you because you did well not only to me and my community but to all traditional rulers in the state; he increased our paltry salary to an amount that can be mentioned among people and gave all traditional rulers cars. He also gave our children free education and we have not forgotten this. We thank him and we believe in him,” Iba Aweda said.

On his part, Alao-Akala stated that if he is voted in, he will ensure that he completes the Kisi-Igboho road which he started during his first term but is still at the point it was when he left office, adding that it is time to put things in order.
“I am promising the people that I will complete the Kisi-Igboho road, I started it and I know it has not been touched since I left office, you know I am a man of my words, I will complete that road if I am given the chance.
“I want to change the situation of things in the state, I am asking you to give me a chance by voting my party, the ADP for all elective posts because your children are with us. Let us send hunger and suffering away from our society. We need a new lease of life for our education sector, we will ensure this and give our children completely free education,” Alao-Akala stated.
From the Iba’s palace, he moved to the square in front of the palace for voters’ education and campaigns
these. After which he was received by the Hausa community in Kisi by a joint delegation of Hausa and Fulani leaders headed by Seriki Manu and Seriki Mojo, who assured him of their support.
