In an industry where many celebrities are easily swayed by their fans’ opinion, Silva, one of the most respected actresses in the movie industry, has differed on this belief, even as she warned the greenhorns in the industry to be careful.
Silva, who has been married to another veteran actor, Olu Jacobs for over three decades, disclosed this during her revealing interview with GenevieveMagazine, as she shared the excerpts of her the session with her fans on Instagram on Friday.
The actress revealed how she had endured some troubled moments in her acting life, particularly her relationship with fans, which according to her have played a pivotal role in her four-decade long acting career.
When asked how she has managed to deal with expectations of fans, the cross over actress did not mince words; she was blunt in her response. Amid her signature infectious laughter, the actress insisted that she had never lived her life for fans.

According to her, living her life for fans could amount to destruction as same fans would accuse her of being a failure in the long run. She insisted that trying to please everyone was a recipe for failure.
“I am not living my life for my fans because they are not living their lives for me. When I get destroyed living my life for them, they are the same people who will accuse me. You can’t please everyone, “ she retorted
She also spoke about how she is ageing gracefully adding that there were things she wished she knew as young actor.
