I do not enjoy s3x with my husband, he beats me before s3x —Wife

A man, Gbadebo has dragged his wife, Oyinlola before Grade A Customary Court, Mapo, Ibadan, Oyo State, for divorce stating that she was a difficult person to live with.

According to Gbadebo, Oyinlola was troublesome and always spoiling for a fight.

He added that she was violent, fetish and regularly engaged in extra marital affairs.

The plaintiff stated that he had endured his relationship with the defendant enough, adding that his life was not safe staying married to her.

Oyinlola denied all the allegations brought against her.

She stated that her husband was cruel and in the habit of beating her any time he wanted to have s3x with her.

According to the defendant, the plaintiff always sent her out of the house into the cold after beating her.

Oyinlola further explained that Gbadebo neglected their children and hardly gave them money for food.

Gbadebo in his evidence said, “I am tired of my marriage to my wife. I have no peace of mind because my wife and I live like cat and dog.

“Oyinlola is troublesome. She argues a lot and always spoils for a fight.

“My wife does not restrict her unruly behaviour to the house. She fights me even in the public.

“I go about almost naked these days because she has torn most of my clothes to shreds.

“I stopped trusting my wife the day I caught her with another man in our room.

“I returned home earlier than scheduled and met the door to our apartment locked.

“I saw signs that my wife was around and banged on the door heavily.

“Oyinlola reluctantly opened the door when she realised I was not ready to give up.

“I got the shock of my life when I entered our room and discovered that she was with another man.

“She aided the escape of her lover before I could lay hold on him.

“My wife moved out of my house after this. We lived separately for a while before she returned to my house after our crisis was resolved.

“Oyinlola is fetish. “She engages in strange and awkward practices which I find scary.”

Oyinlola in her response told the court, “I have suffered a lot in the hands of my husband. He has been unfair to me.

“I do not enjoy s3x with my husband because he beats me every time he wants to sleep with me.

“There were times he sent me out into the street at night not bothering about my safety.

“My husband has failed in his responsibilities towards me and our children. He hardly gives us money for food, while he is nonchalant towards our children’s education.”

The court president, Mrs S.M Akintayo, adjourned the case.
