Gombe state Governor, Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya has declared that he is open to constructive criticisms from anyone in order to have the opportunity to do what is right to all manner of people in the state.
The Governor in demonstration of his openness as he declared, called on the delegation led by the National President of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) Comrade Chris Isiguzo that is on tour of the State not to hide anything they see from Gombe to the world but tell it the way it is.
The NUJ President is on a nationwide tour to interface with Journalists in the country.

A visibly confident Governor Inuwa Yahaya said that “as you go round to see what we are doing, feel free to criticise us as we are ready to make amends” and stated that his idea of journalism is to set agenda and make Government accountable especially to its promises to the people.
Inuwa Yahaya then stated that he is ready to support all working Journalists in the state to perform their professional duties effectively as well as ensuring their security and that of the generality of the people of the state.
Speaking Earlier, National President of the NUJ, Comrade Chris Isiguzo told the Governor that the essence of his visit was to interface with journalists across the country and initiate ways of addressing their challenges.
According to him, it has become very necessary to depart from the past where the leadership of the NUJ only visit the States during campaigns.
He then commended Governor Inuwa Yahaya over the efforts he is making towards revamping the education sector of the State as well as other infrastructural developments.
