One of the men, who has been in the fore-front of the crusade, is MC Ohis, whose burning passion to see that the industry in that part of the country grows with the intention to bring big investors into the states in South-East.
A graduate of Business Administration and Management, Ohis, who has been a part of major projects in Nigeria such as PhynoFest, SMVA Awards, The Wedding Show Case, British Council WAPI, This Day Music Festival among others, said he decided to contribute to the expansion of showbiz in the geopolitical zone after realising that many talented young artistes only needed a platform to showcase their talents to the world.
In less that two years, he has made maximum impact in Enugu State, and is currently playing his part to further position the Coal City as a one-stop shop for showbiz and premium entertainment.
Speaking with R on his vision, Ohis said he’s known for bringing ideas to life and giving the best quality of shows and events you would find in any major city in Nigeria.
Ohis, who started Open Mic Enugu and the Coal City ART Exhibition 3, has organised the first premium comedy show in the Coal City with I Go Dye and Josh2funny.
On his next project, he hinted that “we are working on the next premium comedy show with some of the biggest comedians in the industry before the end of 2018. Our indoor music concert “THE STAGE UNPLUGGED” will kickstart later in the year and it will be a continuous event.”
