Pastor Korede Komaiya has revealed how he and three others honoured Bishop David Oyedepo on his 70th birthday with a surprise luxury gift.
According to Pastor Komaiya, Bishop Oyedepo had requested that instead of receiving extravagant gifts, funds should be donated to 70 widows and those in need. However, four individuals, including Pastor Komaiya, decided to surprise him with a Rolls Royce worth N1.5 billion.
Pastor Komaiya, who contributed N250 million towards the purchase, explained that Bishop Oyedepo would never buy such a car for himself.
“We bought that car for N1.5 billion. I was the one that gave the smallest, N250 million, to honor my father. We took the car to him, and he was shocked. He said in 70 years, this (Rolls Royce) is the only thing nobody has given him,” he said.
The gift reportedly left Bishop Oyedepo visibly surprised, as it marked the first time he had ever received a Rolls Royce.
