How FSEC wowed Ibadan residents

FSEC , Femi SolarNothing less was promised and nothing less was delivered. This statement aptly captures the atmosphere that greeted the maiden edition of the Femi Solar Experience Concert (FSEC).

The Felicia Hal of Jogor, Liberty, Ibadan witnessed a large turnout of people that gave security outfits that manned the entrance of the hall a filled day to deal with.

From the moment the people got wind of the arrivals of two of Nigeria’s biggest Fuji stars, Wasiu Alabi Pasuma and his Ibadan-based cliche, Taye Currency, it became obvious that the people literally had more than they could chew.

Shortly after then, Musiliu Haruna Ishola, the Apala exponent, breezed into the gathering amid cheers from his fans.

With a sundry list of artistes to perfrom, the show started off on a light footing with Pasuma and Currency taking turns to thrill the audience.

Pasuma was the first to perform and he managed to get the crowd to a cheering start while Currency, who took over from him equally raised the roof and gave a good account of himself.

The duo of Odunlade Adekola and popular comedian, LafUp, who mceed the event cracked up the crowd in their usual styles as they ensured that the event did not only live up to expectations but also gave the people value for their money.

Shortly after the perfomance of Currency, Apala crooner, Haruna Ishola mounted the stage to thrill the people with what he described Apala reloaded. His 30 minutes performance was enough to rekindle the flame he sparked some years back with his popular track, Soyoyo.

Femi Solar, the convener of the concert had promised to turn the table by staging what has never happened in the city before. It was his idea to bring hip hop acts, Fuji stars, juju and gospel singers on the same stage.

True to his promise, Taye and Kehinde Adegbodu and Esther Igbekele were dragged from the gospel circle, while CDQ and Gbakoje singer, Small Doctor represented the hip hop world at the maiden edition of the concert that is now being viewed by many as the flagship for entertainment gigs in the capital city.

Small Doctor and CDQ justified their inclusion in the concert with scintilating performances that got the crowd yearning for more.

Theirs were reserved till the last moments of the concert before Solar mounted the stage with his boys to close the show with songs from his new album, Sweetness.

With actors and actresses such as Toyin Asewo, Niyi Johnson, Seyi Edun, Alariwo of Africa, Muiwa Ademola, Jaye Kuti among others in attendance to add glamour to the show, it was indeed a night to remember for many.
