The Chief Executive Officer of Plaza de Aruna Hotel, CEO, Magaji Adekojo Aruna Elewi, has lauded Governor of Oyo State, Seyi Makinde’s decision to install a new Alaafin of Oyo, describing it as a “right step in the right direction.”
Aruna Elewi expressed optimism that the new Alaafin, Oba Abimbola Akeem Owoade, will bring cultural splendor to Oyo town and boost cultural tourism using his wealth of experience.
In a statement, the hotel boss congratulated Governor Makinde on the successful installation of the new Alaafin, praising his commitment to upholding the rich cultural heritage of Oyo State. The CEO also emphasised the significance of the new Alaafin’s appointment, calling it a new phase in the town’s history that will build on its integrity and bring development, growth, and sociocultural upstanding.
“This is a momentous occasion for Oyo town and the entire state,” the CEO said. “The installation of a new Alaafin marks a new beginning, and we are confident that Oba Abimbola Akeem Owoade will be a worthy custodian of the throne.
