This is just as the eye witness to the murder of the deceased transport union chief, Saeed Sulaimon popularly known as Baba Oja has raised the alarm over what he described as threats his life.
The police in the state are also set to transfer the murder case of Hamburger from Area F police command in Ikeja to the homicide section of the State Criminal Investigations Department, Panti for further investigation.
When Tribune Online visited the deceased’s home area on Thursday, commercial activities were returning to shape, but heavy police presence continued around Saka and other streets in Sogunle.
One of the aides of the deceased who spoke with Tribune Online under the condition of anonymity confirmed that Hamburger would be buried on Friday.
The aide said, “Oga will be buried immediately after the Jumat prayer. Every necessary thing has been put in place and I can confirm to you that he will be buried on Friday.”
It was gathered that the burial was before now delayed for the arrival of the wife and children of the deceased transport union chief, who were all in Dublin, Ireland, when he was killed.
Meanwhile, another aide of Hamburger, who was with him when he was killed, Saeed Sulaimon raised the alarm over an alleged threat to his life.
Sulaimon, who had been invited by the police at Area F, said that he had been receiving strange phone calls and threats to his life following his statement at the police station.
He also appealed to the police in the state to ensure that his life is protected from the strange callers, when he said, “The journalists and the police should help me. I have been receiving threats to my life.”
