The kidnap, happened barely, 24 hours after Kasuwar Magani in Kajuru, Local Government was involved in a communal clash that led to the death of 55 people.
A source, who spoke with Sunday Tribune, revealed that the monarch was kidnapped on his way to his palace in Kachia on Friday.
The source said the traditional and his wife were abducted at gun-point with four of his aides killed while others sustained injuries.

Commenting on the incident, the chairman of Kachia Local Government, Mr. Peter Agite, who confirmed the kidnap, said efforts to ensure that the monarch was released in good health had started.
While calling for calm, Agite disclosed that security agencies had been alerted and were perfecting plans to get to the abductors.
As of press time, it could not be confirmed whether the abductors had made financial demands.
The state’s Police Public Relation Officer (PPRO), DSP Yakubu Sabo could not be reached to confirm the incident.
