THE Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has advised President Muhammadu Buhari to retire home after putting in his best in service of the nation.
The National Chairman of the main opposition party, Prince Uche Secondus, who made the call during his presidential rally in Kaduna on Thursday, alleged that the president had become too weak, noting that if he returns to power, he will cede his authority to a ‘cabal.’
He said the people must, therefore, use the opportunity of the coming election to ask Buhari to go home.
Secondus stated: “Now is the time for you to take a stand and firmly, to know that it is time for us to ask President Buhari to go home. Let him go home. Baba has tried. Let him go home. The energy is no longer there. And we know that by the grace of God, we need somebody with a lot of energy. We need somebody who will work for 24 hours.
We don’t need Buhari to give this government to cabal because if you vote for APC, the cabal will still be in control. And there will be hunger in the land.
The man is weak. President Buhari is weak. He cannot rule. And we advise him to go home. We don’t want the cabal again. He handed over the government to the cabal. And that is why there is confusion. And that is why there is hunger upon the land.

“We are seeing it around the world that never again will anybody rig the election in Nigeria again. Will they rig you out?
“INEC be warned. You cannot rig this election, especially in IDP. You cannot rig this election. All your ‘wayo’ and ‘wuru-wuru’ and ‘jibiti,’ we know them.
“The most important thing is for you to make a choice. And I believe that all of you here have made up your mind. You don’t want the APC and President Buhari to come back because they have been sleeping on duty and that is why we have insecurity problems and hunger on the land.”
The party boss told the crowd of supporters that what the nation needs now is an energetic person who has the capacity and competence to govern and therefore called on them to vote for the PDP’s candidate, Atiku Abubakar.
He added: “We need somebody who has experience in the private sector, the public sector with a lot of capacity, with competency. We don’t want somebody who is not competent, we cannot celebrate incompetency, we cannot celebrate ignorance on Nigeria.
“All of you here, by the grace of God, he will provide food on your tables. And so, you need a lot of energy to rule Nigeria. Nigeria is 200 million people. Like in the United States, they don’t sleep. There is no president that sleeps in the United States. Atiku will never sleep until there is food on your table. Atiku has a lot of capacity, he has a lot of energy. Atiku will not fall down.”
He also urged Kaduna state people to vote for Isa Ashiru, the PDP gubernatorial candidate rather than a “wicked governor.”
He said: “It is time for us on the 16th of February, you will vote and stand to defend your vote. Don’t listen to the ‘wuru-wuru’ of APC. All they are doing is lies.
“We will have a new governor for Kaduna State. A governor that will provide food on the table, not a wicked governor. On the 2nd of March, vote for our governorship candidate.
