General Overseer, Word Redemption Foundation, Apostle Ayo Akingbade, stated this in an interaction with TribuneChurch in Benin City, the Edo State capital, at the monthly November to Remember programme with the theme Let There Be Light organised by the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), hosted by the pastor in charge of province one, Pastor Bode Olojede, and which had other clerics, including pastor in charge of Region 13, Edo State, Pastor Dele Balogun, in attendance.
According to Akingbade, “Boko Haram terrorism is a spiritual battle that has to do with ideology, and the church could win the fight by going to Boko Haram headquarters to win souls.
“Christians should engage in rigorous evangelism in the areas affected by Boko Haram terrorists, because for every member of the terror group that dies, that person goes to hell. We need to ‘arrest’ those behind the wicked ideology, and this can only be achieved when Christians go out on the streets to preach the gospel of Jesus Christ to them.
“Once a soul is won, there is no way Boko Haram ideology can enter into that soul again because he has been converted. So, the best way is to storm the enclave of this group and preach the gospel to them. Only then can we put our trust in God for mass conversion,” he stated.
