Global Entrepreneurship Network (GEN) at the weekend, announced the second GEN Starters Club, aimed at creating networking opportunities for entrepreneurs across the world.
The club is a “community of talented founders with access to mentors, enhanced exposure and curated networking opportunities at events around the world,” a statement from the organisation said.
According to Jessica Wray, who wrote about the club on genglobal.org, the club “provides peer-to-peer support for its members, and the second cohort of members includes 18 founders from more than 15 different countries from across the world.
“Members receive mentorship and advice from leading experts within the global entrepreneurship ecosystem, from a variety of industries.
“Members are also invited to take part in the Global Entrepreneurship Congress each year – a gathering of thousands of entrepreneurs, investors, policymakers and researchers to discuss best practices for strengthening local ecosystems and increasing new firm formation.
“GEN Starters from both the 2016 and 2017 classes represent diverse backgrounds, interests and industries – bringing new insights to the club to help crowdsource solutions to common problems entrepreneurs face, as well as provide different industry and market expertise.”
