Form community security agency to address insecurity, APC chieftain tells FG

A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Chief Nwosu has urged the federal government to form community security agency to address the spate of insecurity in Nigeria.

Chief Nwosu while making the call as he briefed journalists on state of the nation in Abuja, noted that the killings would never be addressed without the involvement of the traditional rulers, especially creating community security agencies to fight the incidence from the root.

Nwosu who was the former chief of staff to Imo State government also noted that considering the current situation in the country, carrying of arms by individuals would only lead to lawlessness.

He pointed out that the only way to address the current killings in the country is for the federal government to locate the root cause.

He further appealed with the federal government to intensify efforts in guiding national boundaries, adding that most of the crimes are repatriated by foreigners.

Speaking on current defection from one party to other, he said it can’t turn the country to one party system.

“This is some of the things that makes politics sweet, if your house is no longer comfortable for you, you are free to move. There are still people remaining, they will continue.” He stressed.

Nwosu further added that the movement from people’s Democratic party PDP to ruling party is never a shield for politicians.

He urged Nigerians to exercise more patient with the president, adding that two years is too small to conclude.

“We need to give president Bola Tinubu at least four years to handle the economic situation in the country” Nwosu emphasized.

Speaking on what the ruling party should do to win the hearts of the country, he said they should try and address the hunger crisis adding that the president have been working hard with inter- ministerial committee to address the food security and very soon it will be a thing of the past.

Nwosu therefore appealed to Nigerians not to be tired of praying for their leaders while urging leaders to try and make the masses happy.
