The Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Minister for State, Dr Ramatu Tijjani Aliyu, has mandated the Coordinator, Satellite towns Development Department, Comrade Obinna Francis Ogwuegbu, to step up efforts in ensuring that all projects under his purview are speedily delivered in record time.
The Minister gave this directive through a phone call congratulating the Coordinator on his 100 days in office reminding him that the reward for good work is more work.
She maintained that; “This is not a time to merry as the Muhammadu Buhari’s administration is poised in delivering his campaign promises on infrastructure to Nigerians and the FCT residents in particular.”
Responding to the directive of the Honorable Minister of State, FCT, Comrade Obinna paid an unscheduled visit to the Apo-Karshi road construction site awarded in parts to SCC Nigeria and M/S Kakatar CE Limited accompanied by his team of Engineers led by the Director, Regional Infrastructure, Builder Amaechi Obiekwe.
In a statement made available to pressmen via Meeme Felicia, the Public Relations Officer of STDD, the Coordinator appreciated the rate of work done by the contractor and urged them to intensify efforts in seeing to the groundbreaking commissioning of the road; he reminded the contractors how important this project is to Nigerians and the succour it will bring to users thereafter.
The Managing Director, M/S Kakatar CE, Engr Azibaola Roberts, congratulated the Coordinator for always taking the lead in ensuring that the project never suffers. The MD also appreciated the ministers for the constant role they have played in ensuring that all fund has been released for the project promising that in no distant time the road will be ready for commissioning.
