Fasuyi, other Ijesa leaders mourn Oba Aromolaran 

Asiwaju of Ijesaland, Chief Olayinka Fasuyi, and other eminent leaders of the land have mourned the demise of the imperial majesty, Oba(Dr) Gabriel Adekunke Aromolaran II, CFR, LLD, the Owa Obokun Adimula and paramount ruler of Ijesaland.  

Tribune Online reports that the monarch passed away on Thursday at the age of 86, having ruled the land for 42 years.

The demise of the renowned traditional ruler, a writer of repute, was confirmed by Asiwaju Fasuyi in a statement entitled ‘Farwell the Ijesa Quintessential Imperial Majesty, late Oba Aromolaran was born on October 13, 1937. He assumed the throne of his forefather in 1982.

The former Chancellor of the Federal University of Technology, Yola had published several books to his credit before his departure to grace beyond.  

Asiwaju of Ijesaland, in a statement he signed on Thursday, said:
