Looking at popular curvy celebs’ and their fashion styles starting from Kim Kardashian to Beyoncé to our very own Toolz, to BBN Uriel and all the other curvy fashionistas out there, you will realise that the one thingthey have in common that makes them look gorgeous is their confidence.
You will need to start playing smart with that popping belly or chubby arms or larger burst. You also need to learn to show off that curvy body without a sense of awkwardness or unease. And the key word for me is dress right for your body type.
You might think that because you have a curvy body, you need to hide behind oversized outfits but you should know that such outfits makes you look way bigger, wearing clothes that are too large for you just ends up making your body look shapeless and larger than it actually is. The idea is not to wear too tight clothes or too loose ones, but to wear clothes that fit just right. It’s important that you do not just follow the trend as not all outfits in vogue will suit your body type.
Also as a curvy lady, wearing the proper under garments is crucial to having your best look so that you do not bulge in the wrong places. A good outfit can be ruined by the wrong set of undergarments. So, buy ones that fit right and suit your body type.
You need to choose fabrics that flatter your body shape. If you are inclined towards wearing clingy outfits just like me, then make sure that you wear one size loose, or wear the right body shapers to avoid too much clinginess and to avoid unnecessary bulge under your clothes.
When you go shopping, bear in mind that sizes differ from brand to brand, so don’t stick to one size but try different sizes to see which one fits you best. Don’t restrict yourself to thinking that a smaller size will not fit, as it just could in a different brand.
If you are curvy or thick then your curves is something that you can be proud of. Have the confidence to wear the right styles and the right outfits – team it up with the right undergarments and statement accessories then thank me later.
