This is just as the ongoing insinuation that the bulk of the pensioners and others already paid are from a particular part of the country has been described as mischievous.
Speaking to the Nigerian Tribune yesterday, the Chairman of the Aviation Union Grand Alliance, Nigeria Airways branch, Alhaji Lookman Animashaun, said contrary to the insinuation that the verification exercise in places like Enugu has been completed with everyone there already paid because of the minimal no of workers there. The same is applicable to the those who turned up at the Kano center.
According to Animashaun, anybody from these centres who are yet to receive their alert must have had issues with their data but they will definitely be paid.
His words: “Those spreading this fake rumours are being mischievous because just this morning before 8.am, six people just called to inform me that they have received alert. So where is the information that pensioners from a part of the country are not been paid is coming from. Everybody should exercise patience and they will be paid.”
Animashaun who said he, himself and other members of the Union were yet to receive alert, attributed that to their decision to allow the other workers to be cleared and paid first as a way of showing leadership.
It was also gathered that many of those who could not meet up with the verification deadline in Lagos due to verification issues were asked to report at the federal ministry of budget to undergo the exercise which is already ongoing.
